Bunker Hill Education Foundation Seeks Nominations for annual Wall of Honor
 Third Year for Dinner Honoring Inductees

Sponsored by The Bunker Hill Education Foundation, the Bunker Hill community will honor this year’s Wall of Honor inductees on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Bunker Hill High School.

The “Wall of Honor” honors former Bunker Hill High School graduates who have been an inspiration and/or have contributed to humanity and/or have led a successful life.  Inductees selected by the Bunker Hill Education Foundation Board will receive plaques recognizing their achievements and displayed on the south wall of the high school’s multi-purpose room.

Deadline for submission is February 15, 2014. Nomination forms are available at the Gazette News office or by cutting out the form included in this week’s paper. Nominations are confidential.

The BHEF is a non-for-profit organization that is independent of the Bunker Hill school district and the Board of Education. The Foundation will work cooperatively with the district’s faculty and staff to find ways to fill specific needs in the districts’ classrooms to enhance the students’ educational experience in Bunker Hill. Among others, a core goal of the Foundation will be to fund “mini-grants” for a wide variety of purposes including classroom activities, equipment and educational materials. Examples could include textbooks, literary novels, computers, classroom media, digital cameras or field trips that could not be purchased by the district.
