Macoupin County Public Health Department and
Illinois Army National Guard Health Check-up
at Meissner School in Bunker Hill

On Saturday, Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Macoupin County Public Health
Department and the Illinois Army National Guard will be conducting a medical, dental and eye exam check-up program on the Meissner School grounds.  This is the fifth year that the National Guard Medical Innovation Readiness Training Program has been held in connection with the Macoupin County Public Health Department's medical and dental health screening program.

Medical personnel from the Illinois Army National Guard, including doctors, physician
assistants, dentists, and nurses will be providing school physicals and sports exams.  The event will target uninsured, low income school aged children (K-12).  They will also be providing medical and dental check-ups for their adult parents, grandparents and guardians.  The Macoupin County Public Health Department personnel will be providing child immunizations, adult immunizations and lead and hemoglobin screenings for children going through the clinic.

Students requesting sports physicals must bring a urine sample in a clean container.
Parents and/or guardians must bring in the child's shot record.  If you are covered by Medicaid, you must bring your medical card with you.

The medical, dental and eye exam check-ups will be free of charge.  There will be a small fee requested for all immunizations and a small charge for the blood work done.

You must make an appointment to receive any of these services.  Please call the Macoupin County Public Health Department at (217) 854-3223 to schedule an appointment.
