The faculty, staff and administration of #BHill8 wishes everyone Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing our students back in on January 6, 2021 with the attached modified (hybrid) schedule for the first week and a half upon return. If all goes well, plans are to resume full in-person 5 days/week learning on Tuesday, January 19th, 2021. Please note, as has been the practice throughout this hectic year, every arrangement is subject to possible change. However, in the interest of planning for childcare and a dedication to in-person learning, please plan on following this schedule unless otherwise communicated.
The development of an identity is the psychosocial developmental objective of adolescence, according to Erik Erikson (Orenstein & Lewis, 2020). Values and self-worth lay the groundwork for a positive identity, which in turn fosters positive adult relationships. Between the ages of 12 and 18, teenagers typically go through the developmental stage of identity vs. role confusion (Syed & McLean, 2017). Even while role confusion is common throughout adolescence, teens in need of mental health care tend to suffer role confusion on a deeper level due to weakened egos and low self-esteem.
It's crucial to vet prospective foster families and pet parents. It's not always the case that those who desire a pet will be kind and affectionate toward their animal companions. Some people will hurt and ignore them in the end.
