The Minuteman yearbook seeks help in raising funds for the 2004-05 school year. Each year students need to raise over $10,000 dollars to produce the yearbook. Yearbook sales leave about a $6000 deficit, money generated through business and personal ads that students collect as part of their class grade throughout the year.

Various awards and recognitions define the Minuteman. Students work hard to continue the high standards set by each previous year’s staff. New to the list of recognition is the nomination of the 2003 “Locked Down but Not Out” as part of the Herff Jones national book Ideas That Fly; a book that highlights ideas and layouts of yearbooks throughout the nation as representative of innovative sample yearbooks.

“We need to raise additional funds to continue to produce a high quality book, a yearbook representing the dedication, innovation and spirit of Bunker Hill High School.” Says Mrs. Sue Morris, yearbook adviser. “Bunker Hill businesses have been great in their support, as well as parents in purchasing yearbooks, but we need to include the entire alumni and groups in the town.”

The staff would like to open donations to alumni and local groups to contribute to the cause. Various alumni donation levels are available: Silver level—$25-$35; Gold level--$45-$55 and Platinum--$75-$100. Each contributor will be listed in the 2004-05 yearbook edition. Additionally, local groups (or businesses) can sponsor a spread (two pages) for $200, which includes spread recognition in the specific pages they would like to sponsor.

Says Morris, “We will be running a clip-out donation sheets through the Gazette that can be sent in directly to the high school. We hope that alumni respond and give support to a project that is part of all past and future students of BHHS.”
